SUMMARY OF THE NEW FEDERAL REGULATIONS: The Office Of Federal Contract Compliance Programs aka OFCCP requires covered federal contractors and subcontractors to collect information about the gender, race/ethnicity of each "applicant" for employment. The final ruling published 10-06-05 modifies OFCCP applicant record keeping requirements to address challenges presented by the use of the Internet and electronic data technologies in contractors' recruiting and hiring processes. The final rule is intended to address record keeping requirements regarding ``Internet Applicants'' under all OFCCP recordkeeping and data collection requirements.

Trades hiring now include Ship Fitter Combo, Pipe Welder, Pipe Fitter, Sheet Metal Mechanic, Electrician and Machinist. Pay: $17.50 to $21.00 an Hour, Per Diem of $49-$60 a day with lodging. A drug test is also required (hair follicle backdating 120 days). Welding Test pays 40 hours if passed.
