This campground is shaded by huge oak trees and palm trees, the Resort is the first campground South of Tampa. Over 1,000 feet of frontage on the Alafia River, a fresh-water river that feeds into the Gulf of Mexico. Many campers enjoy the use of the concrete boat ramp, fishing pier, dock and riverfront picnic pavilion. Manatees frequently come within feet of the dock. A tranquil fountain pond adorns the center of the Resort and a nature trail steps from the river is a great place to take walks.
